KILLER Innovations have developed what we believe is the most accurate gun barrel manufacturing process ever. S.P.T. Suitable for single process technology and single point technology. Single-process technology means the bore, rifling and chamber are cut by a high-precision machine without human intervention.
Single point technology means the rifle is cut using the legendary and rigorous single point cutting technique. This single-point cutting process requires a single cutter to make 120 individual cuts to accurately cut each bore. Spot cutting provides identical grooves with less than .0001 inch deviation from each other because they are cut with a precision cut.
"Button" barrels and standard "cut" RIFLING cannot achieve this type of extraordinary accuracy due to normal tool wear and tool manufacturing tolerances. The "single point cut" barrels consistently have a better groove to groove the centering of the bore. These two technologies combined produce barrels with tight tolerances and precise alignment of all bore and chamber features. All these parts are excellent accuracy in the lower range. IGB Austria with the empty domestic production combines both worlds. The regular field groove profile is used for better control of bullets or lead bullets. If you look closely at the profile you can see the angle between the slot and the field is like a polygon (60°) with slightly rounded sides. Because of this, IGB barrels have a longer life and are friendlier to clean than others.
