This is a 26/33 round capacity Glock extended magazine for the Glock .45Auto/9mm pistol (Glock 17, 18, 19, 26 & 34). *Not compatible with Keltec Sub-2000, Kris Vector or CMMG Banshee pistols. The first GLOCK pistol I've ever seen. It happened in 1987 or 1988 at Long's Drug Store in Colorado Springs. I went to the drugstore to buy a Colt 1911 and saw the Glock 17, the only model at the time. I fell in love right away and left the drugstore instead of the Colt 1911. I remember how good the GLOCK 17 felt in my hand and had two 17 round magazines with the gun. Well, back then nobody gave you a second magazine for your pistol. I also remember wondering about the framed item and the clerk behind the counter could only tell me it was some sort of "plastic". I bought it anyway though.

Since purchasing the initial GLOCK 17, I have owned all but a select GLOCK 18, as the 18 was restricted to law enforcement and military sales. But I got a chance to shoot the GLOCK 18 and it was awesome. Literally! In the first video produced by Paladin Press, the late Col. Working with Rex Applegate, we had a prototype GLOCK 23 to play with. It worked most of the time. It came with an unmodified GLOCK 19 magazine and the rounds did not always feed properly.

The gun being discussed today is the GLOCK 19 Gen 4 9mm pistol and may be the best generation to date. It comes with four rear straps, two making the grip slightly thicker or larger and two slightly lengthening the tank. Some people with gloves experience that the slide stops when it touches the gloved hand, so using an extended tang bag strap won't cause that problem. (I have no problem shooting my GLOCK with gloves on.)

The GLOCK 19, Gen 4 weighs 23.65 ounces, has a 4.02-inch barrel and a trigger pull of about 5.5 pounds. Magazines (three available) hold 15 rounds of 9mm each. The barrel is hexagonal and has no steel wires.

The trigger is what GLOCK calls a safety action trigger. There is a small lever in the center of the trigger and you cannot fire the gun unless your finger is on the trigger. There are also many built-in protections, but you don't have to do anything. The scope has a polymer on the front of the white dot and a polymer on the back, but it has a "U" shape and has a very high rate of fire. Although these sights are often not optimized for target shooting, most people who buy a GLOCK are buying it for self-defense or duty purposes, not target practice. If you want to mount a different type of scope on your gun, you can easily swap out the scope. However, you will need a GLOCK front sight kit to replace the front sight.

We heard that the GLOCK 19 is the most popular model in the GLOCK line. The GLOCK 19 is smaller than the full-size Model 17 and larger than the compact Model 26. That's what Goldilocks calls "perfect." Of course the 19 is my favorite GLOCK model. My oldest daughter and wife also carry a GLOCK 19. They are concealed weapons license holders. The polymer frame has finger grooves on the front strap and small “nubs” on the side and rear straps to keep the gun firmly in place in any weather.

The recoil spring setup is slightly thicker on the Gen 4 Model 19 than on the previous generation. You can also safely shoot +P and +P+ 9mm at 19mm without problems. The slides have a rust-resistant tenifer finish. I've heard that the coating is actually harder than diamond. Also, if the black color is cracked, the finish will remain intact, preventing the slide from rusting. Also, as mentioned, the frame is a polymer.

Extracts also have some extra features. If there are rounds in the room, you can see or feel the small protrusions of extraction.

All GLOCKs are easily disassembled for cleaning and maintenance. All you have to do is remove the magazine, make sure there is no ammo in the barrel, point the gun in a safe direction and pull the trigger. This will retract the slide 1/4 inch and turn the slide off when the takedown lever is pulled down. The recoil spring assembly and barrel can be removed. Slide the barrel back into the slide, then slide the recoil spring assembly back into the frame. It's so easy!

All GLOCKs come with a magazine loader and loading the magazine is a bit more difficult. I don't have a problem, but many people have. Load the magazine using a mag loader and leave it for 1-2 weeks. This will hold the spring the next time you load the magazine and make loading much easier.

GLOCK pistols don't need a lot of lube. However, I always put Italian gun grease (http://www.italiangungrease.com/) on my Model 19 and make sure it's the best gun grease I've ever used. I also like the http://www.blackhawk.com/ SERPA hip holster from Blackhawk. Capable of concealed carry, their tactical thigh holsters make great mission holsters that stay low and out of the way.

When I tested my GLOCK 19, Gen 4, it had a great variety of ammunition, including constant velocity, +P and +P+ reloads from the Black Hills Ammunition and Buffalo War Ammo, and the 19 had no issues. .

At Black Hills, I had 100g breakable ammunition, mostly used on indoor shooting ranges. When the round hits the steel backstop, it shatters completely. I also had a round of Black Hills 115 gr FMJ. I'm still waiting for some Black Hills 115-gr +P Barnes full copper hollow TAC-XP point rods. They were out when I asked. At Buffalo War, they have 15-gr Barnes All-Copper Hollow Point TAC-XP +P rods, 124-gr FMJ FN +P+, 124-gr JHP +P, 115-gr JHP +P+ and 147-gr JHP. +P+. Loading.
